Qualification: (i) Master Degree in
any official language of the state concerned under the jurisdiction of Gauhati
High Court. Due Weightage will be given to Law Graduates.
(ii) Proficiency in the use of a computer is
necessary.
The scale of Pay: PB-2 of
Rs.14000-60500/- with Grade Pay Rs.8000/- plus other allowances.

Selection Procedure of Gauhati High Court Recruitment 2020
Stage 1:
→Written Examination: 100 marks of 2
(two) hours duration
→The selection of the test will consist of a written examination of descriptive type on English
Language Proficiency and Assamese Language Proficiency.
Stage 2:
→Viva-voce/Interview: 30 marks
→Candidates in the ratio of 1:3 from the
rank-wise mark sheet of the written examination will be called to the
viva-voce/interview. Candidates shall have to secure at least 60% of 30 marks
i.e. 18 (eighteen) marks in the Interview in order to be considered qualified
on the basis of the grand total marks obtained by the candidates in the Written
Test and viva-voce, the final selection will be made.
Note: In case of candidates obtaining the same grand total marks, the candidate who obtains more marks in the Written Examination will be given
preference. Where marks obtained by such candidates in the Written Examination
are also the same, then the candidate who is senior in age will be given
preference.
The High Court reserves the right to fix cut
off marks for the written examination at a later stage, if required.
