The Office of the District Commissioner (DC), Majuli has released a job advertisement on its official website majuli.assam.gov.in for the recruitment of 10 Gaon Pradhan posts under the Majuli Revenue Circle and Ujani Majuli Revenue Circle. Interested and eligible candidates may apply offline from 3rd June 2025 to 17th June 2025.

Salary: Rs.9,000/- per month.
Eligibility Criteria for Gaon Pradhan Posts
Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 30 years old and not more than 65 years of age as on 17/06/2025.
Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of the area for which he/she is seeking appointment.
Property Ownership: The candidate must possess land or immovable property in his/her name within the area where the appointment as Gaon Pradhan is sought.
Children: The candidate must not have more than two living children from a single or multiple partners. A self-affidavit must be furnished to this effect.
Employment Status: The candidate must not be a government employee.
Political Affiliation: The candidate must not be affiliated with any political party.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed at least the 10th standard (matriculation) from a recognized board or institution.
Physical and Mental Fitness: The candidate must be physically fit and of sound mind.
Financial Integrity: The candidate must not have been declared insolvent or a defaulter in the payment of government dues.
Social Standing: The candidate must be a person of high status, command respect in society, and hold a reputable position in the community.
How to Apply for DC Majuli Recruitment 2025
Candidates must submit their applications in the Standard Form as published in the Assam Gazette (Part IX) within the specified dates. The filled-in application should be submitted to the Office of the District Commissioner, Majuli.
➲The application must be accompanied by the following documents:
➲Self-attested copy of Voter ID card or Aadhaar card
➲Two recent passport-sized photographs
➲Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)
➲Copies of educational certificates, mark sheets, and HSLC admit card/age proof
➲Govt. dues clearance certificate and Bakijai clearance certificate
➲Proof of land/property ownership in the applicant’s name
➲A self-affidavit declaring that the applicant does not have more than two living children from a single or multiple partners
