Qualification:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
- PRTC is mandatory for both posts.
- Knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok is desirable.
Age Limit:
- Maximum age: 40 years as on 12.06.2026.
- Upper age relaxation of 5 years for ST/SC/PH candidates and Government servants.
Selection Process
➧Preliminary Examination (MCQ Type) – 100 Marks
➧Preliminary Exam is only for shortlisting candidates.
➧Marks of Preliminary Exam will not be counted in final merit.
➧Candidates will be shortlisted category-wise in 1:5 ratio.
Minimum qualifying marks:
- UR: 40%
- Reserved Category: 30%
➧Preliminary Exam Duration: 2 Hours
Subjects:
- English Composition – 10 Marks
- General Knowledge & Current Affairs – 10 Marks
- Engineering Aptitude – 80 Marks
➧Negative marking will be applicable as per TPSC norms.
➧Main Written Examination – 500 Marks
➧General Studies – 100 Marks (1 Hour)
➧Electrical Engineering Paper-I – 200 Marks
➧Electrical Engineering Paper-II – 200 Marks
➧Duration of each Engineering Paper: 3 Hours
Minimum qualifying marks in Main Exam:
- UR: 40%
- Reserved Category: 30%
➧Qualified candidates will be called for Interview-cum-Personality Test.
➧Interview-cum-Personality Test – 50 Marks.
➧Interview will assess personality, leadership, judgment, current affairs awareness, and moral integrity.
➧Candidates must appear in all Main Examination papers to attend the interview.
Final selection will be based on:
- Main Written Examination Marks
- Interview Marks
➧Merit position for equal marks will be decided by age seniority.
➧If age is also equal, educational qualification marks will be considered.
