NEEPCO JE Eligibility Criteria
1. Junior Engineer – Electrical
- Qualification: Full-Time Regular Diploma in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized State Technical Board or institute.
- Minimum Marks: UR candidates need at least 70% marks, while SC/ST candidates must have the prescribed passing marks.
- Domicile: Candidates must be permanent residents of Tripura.
- Employment Exchange: A valid registration with the Agartala or Sepahijala Employment Exchange is required.
- Age Limit: Maximum 30 years for UR/EWS and 35 years for SC/ST candidates as on 01 January 2026.
2. Junior Engineer – Mechanical
- Qualification: Full-Time Regular Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering from a recognized State Technical Board or institute.
- Minimum Marks: UR/EWS candidates need at least 70% marks, while ST candidates must have the prescribed passing marks.
- Domicile: Candidates must be permanent residents of Tripura.

Training, Salary & Service Bond

- Pay Scale: ₹29,300 – 3% – ₹1,19,700/-.
- Monthly CTC: Approximately ₹59,000/-.

- Service Bond: Applicable after completion of training.

NEEPCO JE Selection Process 2026
Candidates will be selected through a Written Test. The final selection will be based on merit in the prescribed examination and fulfilment of all eligibility requirements.
- Aptitude Test: 60 MCQs carrying 60 marks.
- Technical Test: 40 MCQs carrying 40 marks.
- Total: 100 questions for 100 marks.
- Duration: 2 Hours.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
- Qualifying Marks: 40% for UR/EWS and 30% for SC/ST candidates in the prescribed sections.
The Aptitude section covers areas such as General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning, while the Technical section is based on the relevant engineering discipline.
