1. Assistant Professor (Grade-I)
- No. of vacancy: 02 (OBC)
- Department: Mechanical Engineering
- Qualification: First Class in B.E/B.Tech & M.E/M.Tech with Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline.
- Experience: 3 years after Ph.D. or 6 years total teaching and research experience in reputed academic Institute/R&D Labs/relevant Industry.
- Pay: Pay Level 12 (AGP 8000 as per 7th CPC)
2. Assistant Professor (Grade-II)
- No. of vacancy: 01 (SC)
- Department: Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
- Qualification: First Class in B.E/B.Tech (Electrical and Electronics Engg., Electronics and Communication Engg, Electronics and Instrumentation Engg, Instrumentation and Control Engg, Instrumentation Engg or Equivalent) & M.E/M.Tech with Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline.
- Pay: Pay Level 10 (AGP 6000 as per 7th CPC)

The Form should be enclosed with prescribed application fee of Rs. 1000/- (One Thousand only) for General/OBC category and Rs. 500/- (Five Hundred Only) in case of SC/ST in the form of Demand Draft in favour of IRG, NIT Nagaland payable at State Bank of India, Chumukedima Branch, Dimapur. However, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) candidates are exempted from payment of the prescribed fees subject to submission of relevant certificate issued by the competent authority
