APSC Grade-IV Recruitment 2025: Assam Public Service Commission (APSC), Guwahati, has released an official notification for the recruitment of 20 posts of Grade-IV in the office of the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC). Qualification: Class VIII pass. Maximum qualification: HSSLC (Class 12) pass or equivalent. Candidates possessing higher qualifications than the prescribed maximum on the date of application will not be eligible.
Pay Scale: PB-01, Rs.12000-52000/-, Grade Pay Rs.3900/-.
Age limit: 18-40 years as on 01.01.2025.

Mode of Selection for APSC Grade-IV
Phase-I: Screening Test (OMR-based MCQ)
The Commission will conduct a screening test based on OMR sheets with Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to shortlist candidates. The subject, syllabus, duration, and marks are as follows:
- Arithmetic – 20 marks (Class VI, VII & VIII level)
- General Knowledge (Assam specific) – 20 marks
- Reasoning – 20 marks
- Social Science – 20 marks
- Science – 10 marks
- Elementary English – 10 marks
- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 2 hours
Phase-II: Interview
- Candidates shortlisted on the basis of Phase-I performance will be called for the interview.
- Shortlisting will be done category-wise in the ratio of 1:5 (candidates per vacancy).
