Eligibility Criteria for MPSC Manipur
1. Qualification:
a. Under Secretary (Law)
Essential:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- Ability to read/write/speak the local language at least up to Middle School standard.
Desirable:
- Experience handling administrative legal work.
- Minimum 5 years practice as an Advocate.
- Basic computer application knowledge.
- Knowledge of Manipuri and Hindi language.
b. Legal Officer
Essential:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- Ability to read/write/speak the local language at least up to Middle School standard.
Desirable:
- Experience handling administrative legal work.
- Minimum 5 years practice as an Advocate.
- Basic computer application knowledge.
- Knowledge of Manipuri and Hindi language.
c. Research Assistant
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/Commerce/Mathematics/Statistics from a recognized university.
- Preference will be given to candidates having interest or aptitude in research or investigation work.
2. Age Requirement:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 38 years
- Age will be calculated as on 5 May 2026.
Age Relaxation:
- ST Candidates: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years as per government rules.
- Government Servants (Manipur Govt.): Upper age limit relaxation will be allowed equal to the length of continuous service in the relevant post/service.
- Government servants belonging to ST category may avail relaxation benefits as per applicable government norms.
