1. Post Name: Forest Guard
- No. of posts: 167 (one hundred sixty-seven)
- Essential: Madhyamik passed or equivalent standard.
- Desirable: Knowledge in Bengali or Kok-borok.
- Salary: Rs.5700-24000/-, GP Rs.2100/-
- Age limit: 18-40 years as on 01.05.2026.
2. Post Name: Forester
- No. of posts: 104 (one hundred four)
- Essential: Higher Secondary (+2) stage passed or equivalent standard.
- Desirable: Knowledge in Bengali or Kok-borok.
- Salary: Rs.5700-24000/-, GP Rs.2100/-
- Age limit: 18-40 years as on 01.05.2026.
Selection Process
- Written Exam – 85% weightage.
- Interview – 15% weightage.
- Shortlisting based on written exam cut-off.
- Cut-off marks vary by category.
- Syllabus available in Annexure-B.
Physical Standards
- Candidates must have good health and physical fitness
- Must be capable of hard fieldwork in forestry areas
- Persons with disabilities are not eligible
Minimum Physical Requirements:
- Male (General & SC): Height – 163 cm, Chest – 79 cm, Expansion – 5 cm
- Male (ST): Height – 152 cm, Chest – 79 cm, Expansion – 5 cm
- Female (UR & SC): Height – 150 cm, Chest – 74 cm, Expansion – 5 cm
- Female (ST): Height – 145 cm, Chest – 74 cm, Expansion – 5 cm
Physical Test (Qualifying Nature)
- Walking Test (to be completed within 4 hours)
- Male: 25 km
- Female: 16 km
- Only candidates who qualify will proceed to the next stage of recruitment.
- Medical Fitness
Candidates who qualify in the written exam and interview must undergo a medical examination.
The exam will be conducted by the Health Department, Government of Tripura.
A fitness certificate is required for strenuous outdoor/field work.
Must be medically fit to perform forest field duties.
