Chef in the Principal Seat
No. of vacancy: 03 [OBC/MOBC: 01 & UR: 02]
Qualification:
(i) Minimum Class 8 pass. Candidates must have knowledge of Cooking and proficiency in Trade.
(ii) Candidates possessing diploma/certificate in Food craft/Culinary skill/cooking skill etc. from a recognized institute will be given preference.
(iii) Must have experience in cooking in a recognized institution/establishment/hotel etc.
(iv) A candidate must possess a valid Registration Number of Employment Exchange for the State of Assam.
Scale of Pay: PB-1, Rs.12000-52000/- with Grade Pay of Rs.3900/- plus other allowances as admissible under the rules.
Age limit: Category wise age limit for the posts, as on last date of receipt of applications, will be as under:-
# Unreserved: Minimum 40 years
# OBC/MOBC: Minimum 43 years
# SC: Minimum 45 years
# STP/STH: Minimum 45 years
# PWD: 50 years
Selection Process:
Stage 1: Cooking Skill Test of 80 marks. A candidate shall have to secure at least 60% marks in the skill test i.e. 48 out of 80 marks in order to be considered qualified in the Cooking Skill Test.
Stage 2: Viva voce/Interview of 20 marks. Candidates in the ratio of 1:3 (3 candidates for 1 post) will be called to appear in the interview in order of merit from the Cooking Skill Test. In order to be considered qualified in the viva-voce, a candidate shall have to secure at least 12 marks out of 20 marks in the interview/viva voce.

Application Fee: The details of application fee to be paid by the candidates are indicated below. Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) need not pay any fees.
# For SC/STP/STH: Rs.150/-
# For all others: Rs.300/-
