District Courts Recruitment 2024 Details
1. Post Name: Public Prosecutor
☑ No. of posts: 26 (Twenty-six)
☑ Pay scale: Rs. 65000-112000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 18500 + 30% Special Allowance of Basic Pay and other allowances as admissible.
2. Post Name: Additional Public Prosecutor
☑ No. of posts: 88 (Eighty-eight)
☑ Pay scale: Rs. 30,000-1,10,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 17500 + 30% Special Allowance of Basic Pay and other allowances as admissible.
3. Post Name: Assistant Public Prosecutor
☑ No. of posts: 185 (One hundred eighty-five)
☑ Pay scale: Rs. 30,000-1,10,000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 16900 + 30% Special Allowance of Basic Pay and other allowances as admissible.
Eligibility Criteria for District Courts Assam
☑ Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University of India (established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or State Act) or an institute recognized by the Government of Assam or by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
☑ Service Qualification:
(i) For Public Prosecutor: Having practiced as an advocate, including in the High Court, for a period of not less than eight (eight) years, basically on the criminal side.
(ii) For Additional Public Prosecutor: Having practiced as an Advocate, including in the High Court, for a period of not less than 7 (seven) years, basically on the criminal side.
(iii) For Assistant Public Prosecutor: having practiced as an advocate, including in the High Court, for a period of not less than three (three) years, basically on the criminal side.
☑ Age (as of January 1, 2024): Maximum 45 years, relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates; 10 years for persons with disabilities; and for ex-servicemen, 50 (fifty) years for the unreserved category, which shall be relaxed by 3 (three) years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 (five) years for SC/ST candidates.
☑ Domicile: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Application Fee of District Courts Vacancy
☑ Rs. 300/- for general candidates; Rs 200/- for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC candidates; and Rs 50/- for BPL candidates. Fees must be paid by way of a demand draft to be drawn in favor of the Secretary, Board of Secondary Education, Assam.
