IAF AFCAT-01/2026 Notification 2025: Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued an official employment notification for the recruitment of 340 posts of Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches/NCC Special Entry for Courses Commencing in January 2027. 2. Entry Name: NCC Special Entry
Flying Branch: 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for PC and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for SSC.
Other Details of IAF Recruitment
Age limit: Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years (26 years for CPL holders); Ground Duty: 20 to 26 years as on 01 Jan 2027; candidates must be unmarried, and only Matriculation/Secondary certificates are accepted as valid DOB proof.
Qualification:
# Flying Branch: 10+2 with 50% in Physics & Math’s and Graduation/BE/B.Tech/AMIE/Aeronautical Society with 60%.
# Ground Duty (Technical - AE (L)): 10+2 with 50% in Physics & Math’s and 4-year Engineering/MSc (Electronics) degree with 60% in approved disciplines like Computer, Electronics, Electrical, IT, AI, Communication, Instrumentation, etc.
# Ground Duty (Technical - AE (M)): 10+2 with 50% in Physics & Math’s and 4-year Engineering degree with 60% in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, Production, Mechatronics, or related fields.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical):
- Weapon Systems (WS): 10+2 with 50% in Physics & Math’s and Graduation/BE/B.Tech with 60%.
- Admin & Logistics: Graduate with 60% or AMIE/Aeronautical Society with 60%.
- Accounts: B.Com/BBA/BMS/CA/CMA/CS/CFA/B.Sc. (Finance) with 60%.
- Education: 10+2 with PG (50%) and Graduation (60%) in any discipline.
- Meteorology: 10+2 with Physics & Math’s and B.Sc./Engineering (60%) in relevant science/ engineering fields.
Application Fee: Candidates applying for AFCAT Entry must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹550 + GST online via credit/debit card or net banking; no fee for NCC Special Entry.
