NIT Silchar Notification 2025

National Institute of Technology (NIT), Silchar has released an employment news notification on its official website nits.ac.in for the recruitment of 05 posts, including Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Non-Faculty.

Interested and eligible candidates may apply online from 27th May 2025 to 25th June 2025.

NIT Silchar Recruitment 2025

1. Post Name: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
  • No. of post: 01 (One)
  • Department: Department of Physics NIT Silchar
  • Qualification: MSc. in Physics.
  • Experience: (i) Practical experience in experimental condensed matter physics. (ii) Excellent analysis and report writing skill. (iii) Proficiency in using graph plotting software and Microsoft office software.
  • Salary: ₹37,000/- p.m. for NET/GATE; +10% HRA if no accommodation.
  • Age Limit: 28 years (preferably).
2. Post Name: Assistant Librarian
  • No. of post: 01 (One)
  • Qualification: Master's Degree in Library/Information/Documentation Science with at least 60% marks or equivalent grade (6.5 CGPA/‘B’ grade in UGC scale), good academic record, proficiency in computerized library services, and qualification in NET/SLET/SET conducted by UGC or approved agencies.
  • Desirable: PG Diploma in Library Automation and Networking or PGDCA or equivalent; candidates with a Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant discipline will be preferred.
  • Salary: Negotiable.
  • Age Limit: Not Exceeding 35 Years.
3. Post Name: System Engineer/Software Engineer
  • No. of posts: 02 (Two)
  • Qualification: Candidate must have a minimum of B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. degree or equivalent in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, or MCA with at least 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University/Institute of repute.
  • Desirable: Experience in MVC frameworks, web development (e.g., Spring, PHP), Linux OS, Java technologies (J2EE, JSP, JDBC), HTML5, JSON, JavaScript (jQuery), RDBMS (PostgreSQL), database administration, and software development life-cycle models.
  • Salary: Negotiable.
  • Age Limit: Not Exceeding 40 Years.
4. Post Name: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
  • No. of post: 01 (One)
  • Qualification: M.E./M.Tech or B.E./B.Tech (with GATE/NET) in Electrical Sciences with first-class: EE, ECE, CSE, EIE, Telecomm, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent.
  • Salary: ₹25,000/- p.m. (consolidated) for 2 years; ₹30,000/- p.m. (SRF) in 3rd year.
  • Age limit: 28 years as on 25.06.2025; relaxable based on experience and qualifications.
