CPP-IPR Sonapur Assam Job Information Details
1. Project Scientific Officer (PSO)
- No. of vacancy: 01 (One)
- Essential: BE/B.Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation/Electronics, minimum 60% marks from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Desirable: One year of research in a national R & D laboratory or University in the field of experimental plasma physics and high voltage engineering.
- Remuneration: The monthly emoluments of Rs. 56000/- + HRA (as per institute’s rules) will be paid with an increment of 5% after serving two years in CPP-IPR which is subject to the performance review. No other allowances shall be admissible. The medical facility will be covered for self as per the DAE CHSS rule adopted by CPP-IPR and for this facility, the necessary deduction will be made every month from the salary as per CHSS rules.
- Age Limit: Maximum age limit for general candidates is 40 years as of June 01, 2022. Age relaxation for SC/ST/PWD/OBC/Ex-servicemen candidates will be governed as per the rules & guidelines of the Government of India. The Date of Birth as recorded in the Birth Certificate/ Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC)/Matriculation/Secondary School Certificate/ Aadhaar Card shall be the only acceptable document in support of proof of age.
2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- No. of vacancy: 05 (Five)
- Qualification: M. Sc. In one of the following subjects: Physics and Applied Physics with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in the M. Sc. Final exam. Students should have Physics and Mathematics at the under graduate level. NET, JEST and GATE qualified students can directly appear for the interview at CPP-IPR. Other shortlisted candidates will be invited to appear for a national-level written test that will be conducted at CPP-IPR.
- Remuneration: Rs. 31,000/-p.m. + HRA (Consolidated) which will be raised to 35,000/- + HRA per month after two years, subject to satisfactory academic performance. Support to attend national conference/workshops/schools and partial support for attending conference abroad will be given during their Ph.D. Tenure.
- Age Limit: Not more than 28 years on 01/04/2022. Age relaxation is admissible to SC/ST/ OBC/Differently-abled etc. as per Govt. of India notifications. The age limit is relaxable by five years for SC/ST, three years for OBC, and ten years for Differently-abled person.

Post No.1: A Walk-in-Interview will be conducted for the recruitment of 01 (One) no. temporary post of Project Scientific Officer, to be posted at CPP-IPR. Interested candidates may appear before a selection committee at CPP-IPR, Nazirakhat, Sonapur, Kamrup (M), Assam on 28.06.2022 along with all requisite documents in support of the eligibility criteria.
