Meghalaya BRDC Recruitment 2026 – 06 JRF & Associate-I Posts

Bio-Resources Development Centre (BRDC), Meghalaya has released the latest employment notification for the recruitment of 06 posts of Research Associate-I, Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Programmer Associate-I under the Project entitled “Carbon Sequestration through Afforestation & Bioengineered Plant Systems". All relevant details regarding BRDC Meghalaya Recruitment 2026 are provided below.

BRDC Meghalaya Recruitment Details

1. Research Associate-I

• Post Code: BT2025-01
• No. of seats: 01 (One)
• Date of Interview: 17th March, 2026.

2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Post Code: BT2025-02
• No. of seats: 04 (Four)
• Date of Interview: 18th March, 2026.

3. Programme Associate-I 

• Post Code: BT2025-03
• No. of seats: 01 (One)
• Date of Interview: 19th March, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for BRDC Meghalaya

Post Code: BT2025-01

• Ph.D. in Botany/Biotechnology, or
• M.Sc. in Botany/Biotechnology with NET + 7 years research & project management experience.

Post Code: BT2025-02

• Post Graduate in Forestry/Botany/Biotechnology/Environmental Science/Natural Resource Management.
• Preference: Experience in Tissue Culture & Nature-based Carbon Sequestration projects
• OR PG in Botany/Biotechnology with NET.
• OR PG in Forestry/Environmental Science/NRM + 3 years’ experience in Bamboo Agroforestry & GIS/Satellite Imaging.
• OR PG in Life Science with NET + specialization in Forest Ecology & GIS/Satellite Imaging.

Post Code: BT2025-03

• PG in Botany/Biotechnology or related subjects + 1 year research experience, or
• PG in Life Sciences or related subjects with NET.

Age Limit:

• Candidates must be 18 to 32 years as on 01 January 2026.
• Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per government rules.
• No age limit for candidates already working in Government service or statutory bodies.

How to Apply for BRDC Meghalaya?

Interested and eligible candidates may appear for the walk-in interview on 17th, 18th & 19th March 2026 at the Office of Bio-Resources Development Centre (BRDC), Upper Shillong, from 11:00 AM onwards.
