Eligibility Criteria for NLU Assam


1. Professor of Law

  • Ph.D. in relevant discipline with minimum 10 research publications.
  • 10 years teaching/research experience in university or national institutions.
  • OR outstanding professional with Ph.D. and 10 years’ experience.
2. Associate Professor of Law

  • Ph.D. in relevant discipline with Master’s degree (55% marks).
  • Minimum 8 years teaching/research experience.
  • 7 publications in peer-reviewed/UGC listed journals.
3. Assistant Professor of Law

  • Master’s degree with 55% marks in relevant subject.
  • Must have NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC norms.
4. Assistant Professor of Political Science

  • Master’s degree with 55% marks.
  • NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC rules.
5. Finance Officer

  • Master’s Degree in Finance (55%).
  • 15 years’ experience in academic/administrative roles.
  • CA qualification desirable.
6. Deputy Registrar (Academic)

  • Master’s degree (55%).
  • 9 years’ experience as Assistant Professor or 5 years as Assistant Registrar.
7. Administrative Officer

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 10 years administrative experience.
8. Junior Administrative Assistant

  • Bachelor’s Degree with computer knowledge.
  • 3 years’ experience in university/government office.
9. System Operator

  • BCA/Diploma in Computer Science/DOEACC ‘A’ Level.
