Eligibility Criteria for APPSC Recruitment


1. Junior Specialist (Allopathy)

Required Qualification:

  • A recognized medical degree included in the First Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
  • Postgraduate Degree (MD/MS or equivalent) in the relevant specialty as mentioned in the advertisement.
  • Candidates (including Foreign Medical Graduates) must be registered with the Arunachal Pradesh Medical Council (APMC).
  • Qualification must meet the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act and Arunachal Pradesh Health Service Rules.

2. Junior Dental Specialist

Required Qualification:

  • Dental qualification included in Part-I or Part-III of the Schedule of the Dentist Act, 1948.
  • Postgraduate Degree (MDS or equivalent) in the concerned dental specialty.
  • Candidates (including Foreign Dental Graduates) must be registered with the Arunachal Pradesh Dental Council (APDC).
  • Qualification must be recognized under the Dentist Act and applicable Health Service Rules.

Age Limit

  • The maximum age limit is 50 years as on the last date of online application submission (18 May 2026).
  • Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for Government Servants as per official notification.
  • Additional age relaxation for PwBD candidates and other eligible categories will be applicable as per Government of Arunachal Pradesh rules.

Selection Process

  • The selection will be done through Interview/Viva-Voce only as per Arunachal Pradesh Health Service Rules, 2000.
  • The total marks for the interview will be 100 marks.
  • Candidates must secure minimum 50% marks in the interview to qualify for selection.
  • Relaxation in qualifying marks for PwBD candidates, if applicable, will be provided as per Government rules.
