Educational Qualification
- Graduation: Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- Final Year Candidates: Candidates appearing in the final year/semester of graduation may apply provisionally, subject to producing proof of passing the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2026.
- Ex-Servicemen: Eligible matriculate Ex-servicemen meeting the prescribed military service and certificate requirements may also apply.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 28 Years
- Age Cut-off Date: 01 April 2026
- SC/ST: 5 Years relaxation
- OBC (NCL): 3 Years relaxation
- PwBD: Relaxation as per category and notification rules
- Ex-Servicemen: Military service rendered + 3 years, subject to prescribed conditions.
Selection Process
- Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
- Phase-II: Main Examination
- Phase-III: Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
Note: Candidates who have studied the opted local language in Class 10th or 12th and provide the required certificate/marksheet may be exempted from the LLPT.

Salary & Pay Scale
- Pay Scale: ₹24,050-1,340/3-28,070-1,650/3-33,020-2,000/4-41,020-2,340/7-57,400-4,400/1-61,800-2,680/1-64,480.
- Starting Basic Pay: ₹26,730/- including two advance increments admissible to graduates.
- Approx. Starting Emoluments: Around ₹46,000/- per month in metro cities, including applicable allowances.
- Probation: Minimum 6 months.
