1. Medical Officers Grade in General Duty & Medical Officers Sub-cadre of Central Health Service
No. of posts: 864
2. Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways
No. of posts: 450
3. General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council
No. of posts: 14
4. General Duty Medical Officer Grade-II in Municipal Corporation of Delhi
No. of posts: 30
Salary: ₹56,100 (Level 10, 7th CPC) + NPA and other allowances.
Age limit: Maximum 32 years as on 1 Aug 2026 (35 years for GDMO posts).
Other Details of UPSC CMS Exam 2026
Qualification: Candidate must have passed final MBBS (written & practical); final-year candidates can apply, but internship completion is required before appointment.
Application Fee: ₹200 (Female/SC/ST/PwBD exempted); payable online only, non-refundable.
Exam Centres: The UPSC CMS 2026 exam will be held at 48 centres across India; allotment is on first-apply-first-allot basis.
Exam Pattern:
- Part-I: Written Exam – 500 Marks (2 Papers, 250 marks each, 2 hours each).
- Paper-I: General Medicine & Paediatrics (120 MCQs).
- Paper-II: Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Preventive & Social Medicine (120 MCQs).
- Part-II: Personality Test/Interview – 100 Marks.
- Written exam questions are objective (MCQ) and in English only.
