Classification: Group - ‘C’ (Non-Gazetted/Non-Ministerial)
Qualification:
# For Un-reserved Category – passed in Madhyamik or equivalent board examination.
# For SC/ST Category – Class VIII passed.
In case of recruitment from Special Police Officer (SPOs)
# Class VIII passed for all categories UR/SC/ST candidates.
Desirable: Knowledge of Bengali or Kokborok
Scale of pay: Tripura State Pay Matrix, 2018 Level-6, Cell-01
Minimum Physical Standards:
(a) For Men
(i) Height:
# Minimum 5’6 for UR/SC candidates.
# For ST candidate, minimum height is 5’5.
(ii) Chest:
# If height of candidate is 5’6 or more, then 31” (unexpanded) and 33” (Expanded)
# If height of candidate is less than 5’6 then 30” (unexpanded) and 32” (Expended)
(b) For Women & Transgender
(i) Height
# Minimum 5’0 for UR/SC candidates.
# For ST candidate, minimum height is 4’11
Age limit for Tripura Police Constable Vacancy
# Between 18 and 24 years as on 1st January, 2022 and the maximum age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for candidates belonging to SC & ST categories.
In case of recruitment from SPOs
(i) Between 18 and 30 years as on 1st January, 2022
(ii) Candidate must have done active service as Special Police Officer for a minimum of 3 years.

# Women candidate shall be required to submit self-declaration certifying that she is not pregnant on the date of the physical endurance test.
# Those who qualify in endurance test will have to appear for a written examination, objective type, maximum marks – 85 to test their general awareness and IQ. Examination will consist of one paper of one hour duration to be answered either in Bengali or Hindi or English or Kokborok as per choice of the candidate. Venue and date of physical endurance test and written examination will be intimated in due course.
# Those who qualify in the written test will have to undergo a personal interaction with the Selection Committee. Venue and date of the personal interaction will be notified in due course.
Full Marks – 100 (Written examination and Personal interaction)
(a) Written marks – 85
(b) Personal interaction marks – 15
# The final appointment will be from the merit list to be determined on the basis of aggregate score in the written examination and the personal interaction.
How to Apply for Tripura Police Constable Vacancy?
Candidates of all categories will submit application in the prescribed format as given at Annexure-I either printed, type written or neatly hand written on full scale plain paper (A4 size) along with attested copies of the following documents to the selection committee, Tripura Police Constable (Men & Women) by 8 AM on the specified date at respective venue.
# Photo identity card, such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID card etc.
# Citizenship/Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC) issued by the concerned authority.
# Age proof certificate (Matriculation or equivalent certificate, Admit card or School leaving certificate).
# Educational qualification certificate.
# Valid Caste/Category certificate issued by Sub-Divisional Magistrate.
# No Objection Certificate duly issued by the employer; in case the candidate is Government employee.
# Women candidate will bring self-declaration certificate certifying that she is non pregnant on the date of the physical endurance test.
# Service certificate of SPO issued by the District SP, in case candidate is SPO.
# Service certificate of Home Guard candidates mentioning date of appointment and length of service issued by the Commandant, Home Guard.
# 10,323 discharged ad-hoc Teachers is required to produce supporting documents.
# 04 (four) copies recent passport size photographs (Coloured). One copy is to be affixed with the application form and remaining 03 copies to be enclosed.
