Office of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kamrup (M), Guwahati, has published a recruitment notification for 20 posts of Para Legal Volunteer (PLV) exclusively for candidates belonging to the Tea Tribe Community residing within Sonapur, Amchong, and Tepesia Tea Estates. Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must have at least a Matriculation (Class 10) qualification and must not view this role as a source of income but as an opportunity to serve the society with compassion, empathy, and commitment for the welfare of the Tea Tribe Community.
# Teachers (including retired teachers)
# Retired Government servants and senior citizens
# MSW students
# Anganwadi workers.
# Doctors/Physicians
# Law students (till their enrolment as Advocates)
# Members of women's neighborhood groups, Maitri Sanghams, other self-help groups
# Any other individuals with an inclination for social service
Note:
1. The role of a Para Legal Volunteer (PLV) does not carry any salary, wages, or regular remuneration. However, an honorarium, as determined by the Assam State Legal Services Authority from time to time, will be provided. The duties, functions, and honorarium of PLVs will be governed by the relevant provisions under the NALSA Scheme for Para Legal Volunteers (Revised) and applicable regulations issued periodically.
2. The initial engagement shall be for a period of three (3) years, which may be extended from time to time by the District & Sessions Judge cum Chairman, DLSA, Kamrup Metro, based on application and satisfactory performance.
