IOCL Recruitment 2026 – Posts and Qualification
Technician Apprentice
Technician Apprentice posts are available in disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics and Electronics.
Candidates should possess a regular full-time 3-year Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized Institute/University.
- General/EWS/OBC-NCL: Minimum 50% marks
- SC/ST/PwBD: Minimum 45% marks
Trade Apprentice
Trade Apprentice opportunities are available for relevant ITI trades including Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic and Machinist.
Candidates should have passed Matriculation/Class 10th and possess a regular full-time 2-year ITI course in the relevant trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Graduate Apprentice
Candidates applying for Graduate Apprentice posts should possess a regular full-time Bachelor's Degree such as B.A., B.Com., B.Sc. or BBA from a recognized Institute/University.
- General/EWS/OBC-NCL: Minimum 50% marks
- SC/ST/PwBD: Minimum 45% marks
Data Entry Operator Apprentice
For Data Entry Operator (Fresher), candidates should have passed Class 12th and should not possess a graduation qualification.
For Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders), candidates should have Class 12th qualification along with the prescribed Domestic Data Entry Operator Skill Certificate.
IOCL Apprentice Age Limit
The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 24 years. The age will be calculated as on 30 September 2026.
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
- OBC-NCL Candidates: 3 years
- PwBD Candidates: Up to 10 years
- PwBD SC/ST Candidates: Up to 15 years
- PwBD OBC-NCL Candidates: Up to 13 years
IOCL Apprentice Qualification Passing Date
For Graduate and Technician Apprentice posts, the prescribed qualification should have been obtained between 01 April 2023 and 30 September 2026.
For Trade Apprentice, ITI and Data Entry Operator posts, the prescribed qualification should have been obtained between 01 April 2022 and 30 September 2026.
