Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL), has released a recruitment notification for 30 Graduate Apprentice posts under the General Stream.
The recruitment is open for graduates in Arts, Law, Science and Commerce streams. Eligible candidates must be residents of Meghalaya and must have passed their qualifying examination in 2024, 2025 or 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a resident of Meghalaya.
- Candidates must possess the required graduate qualification in the relevant stream.
- The qualifying examination must have been passed in 2024, 2025 or 2026.
- Candidates must have an active email ID, mobile number and EPIC card.
- Candidates must be registered with the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) through the Board of Practical Training at mhrdnats.gov.in and possess a valid enrolment ID.
- A graduate who has already undergone training or has job experience of one year or more after obtaining the qualification is not eligible, subject to the conditions mentioned in the notification.
- A person who has previously been a Graduate Apprentice under the Act is generally not eligible again unless the required approval is obtained.
Age Limit
The age limit for MeECL Graduate Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 24 years
- Age Cut-off Date: 31 May 2026
Age relaxation is applicable to SC, ST, OBC, Persons with Disability and Ex-Servicemen as per the applicable Government of India rules.
Remuneration
Selected Graduate Apprentices will receive a stipend of ₹12,300 per month during the apprenticeship training period.
The apprenticeship training period will be one year from the date of the apprenticeship agreement.
Application Fee
No application fee is mentioned in the recruitment notification provided by MeECL.

Selection Process
The selection process is based on shortlisting and document verification.
The important stages are:
- Shortlisting of eligible applications
- Original Certificate Verification
- Physical Fitness Certificate/Medical Fitness
- Execution of Apprenticeship Contract
- Joining of Apprenticeship Training
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for original certificate verification. Selected candidates who are found physically fit must execute an apprenticeship contract with MeECL. The joining date will be the date of signing the apprenticeship agreement.
