Educational Qualification & Experience
  • Must hold a Degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized University established by law in India.
  • Must have knowledge of the State Official Language (Manipuri).
  • Must have practiced for a minimum period of 3 (three) years as an advocate (Certificate of Practice required) OR experience as Law Clerks with Judges/Judicial Officers will also be counted.

Selection Process & Exam Scheme
The recruitment process consists of three distinct stages:

  • 1. Preliminary Examination (200 Marks): 2 Hours objective test. General English, GA, Current Affairs & Aptitude (100 marks) + Law Paper (100 marks). Candidates ratio for Main Exam is 1:10.

  • 2. Main Written Examination (400 Marks): 4 descriptive papers (English, GK, Law Paper-I, Law Paper-II) of 100 marks each (3 hours per paper). Candidates ratio for Interview is 1:3.

  • 3. Viva-Voce/Interview (70 Marks): Minimum benchmark of 40% is required. Knowledge of Manipuri language will be actively tested.
