MPSC Stenographer Notification 2025

The Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC), Lower Lachumiere, Shillong, vide Advertisement No. 09/2025 dated 12.05.2025, invites online applications for 13 vacancies, including Stenographer Grade-I under the Meghalaya Civil Secretariat, and Stenographer Grade-III under the Commissionerate of Food Safety and the Inspector General of Prisons and Correctional Services.

MPSC Grade-I & III Job Opening 2025

The Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) has released a recruitment notification for 13 vacancies of Stenographer Grade-I and Grade-III. Eligible and interested candidates may apply online from 12.05.2025 to 13.06.2025 by visiting the official website: mpsc.nic.in.

MPSC Shillong Recruitment Details

1. Stenographer Grade-I 

• Department: Meghalaya Civil Secretariat
• Posts: 11 (Eleven)
• Essential: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. Must have served as Steno Grade-II or Grade-III under the State Government for at least 5 years and qualify the English Stenography Speed Test at 150 wpm conducted by MPSC.

2. Stenographer Grade-III

• Department: Commissionerate of Food Safety
• Post: 01 (One)
• Essential: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum shorthand speed of 80 wpm.

3. Inspector General

• Department: Prisons and Correctional Services
• Post: 01 (One)
• Essential: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum shorthand speed of 80 wpm.

Application Fee 

• Grade-I: Rs.460/-
• Grade-III: Rs.350/-
• Half the rate for SC/ST who are permanent residents of the State of Meghalaya.

Complete Form: Choose Grade‑I or Grade‑III, then enter personal, educational and service details.

Upload & Pay: Attach your degree, service certificate(s), photo and signature; pay fee online.

Submit & Save: Review, submit the form, then download/print the confirmation.
