Age Limit
Maximum Age: 50 years.
Age will be calculated as on 11 March 2026.
Salary
Selected candidates will receive honorarium as per Highly Skilled Category wages prescribed by the Department of Labour, Employment & Skill Development, Government of Meghalaya, including applicable risk allowance.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following conditions:
- Must be a Home Guards Volunteer
- Must have completed 5 years’ service (1825 days) with requisitioning agencies
- Must be an Indian citizen
- Must be a domicile of Meghalaya
- Must possess Home Guards Basic Training Certificate

Eligible candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interview to be conducted at:
- Shillong
- Tura
Selected volunteers may be deployed in remote border areas of:
- Khasi Hills
- Jaintia Hills
- Garo Hills
How to Apply for CDHG Meghalaya Recruitment 2026
Candidates must submit the standard application form along with self-attested copies of:
- Two passport size photographs
- Educational qualification certificate
- Birth certificate or age proof
- EPIC voter ID card of Meghalaya
- Home Guards Basic Training certificate
- Medical fitness certificate from authorized government doctor
- Deployment period certificate issued by District Commandant/Civil Defence authority
Application must be submitted to respective District Home Guards Offices/Training Centres/Civil Defence Offices where the candidate is currently deployed.
Important Instructions
- Candidates must bring original documents during interview.
- Volunteers must arrange their own accommodation for 2–3 days.
- No TA/DA will be provided.
- Canvassing or providing false information will lead to disqualification.
- Department reserves the right to cancel the enrolment process without notice.
- Reservation policy is not applicable as the service is voluntary.
