Post Name: Para Legal Volunteer (PLV)
No. of posts: 20 (Twenty)
Eligibility:
1. He/She must be a citizen of India and should be from any one of the following groups: -
# Teachers (including retired teachers)
# Retired Government Servants and senior citizens
# Master of Social Works Students and Teachers
# Anganwadi workers
# Doctors/Physicians
# Students & Law Students (till they enroll as lawyers)
# Members of non-political, service-oriented NGOs and Clubs
# Members of Women neighborhood groups, Maithri Sanghams and other
# Self Help Groups including Marginalized/Vulnerable groups.
# Any other person whom the District Legal Services Authority deems fit to be identified as Para Legal Volunteer {as per "Scheme for Para Legal Volunteers (Revised)"}
2. The applicants should pass minimum matriculation with a capacity for overall comprehension and should have mindset to assist the needy in society coupled with the compassion, empathy and concern for the upliftment of marginalized and weaker sections of the society. They must have the unflinching commitment towards the cause which should be translated into the work they undertake.
Remuneration: The work of PLVs doesn't carry any salary, remuneration or wage except remuneration fixed by District Legal Services Authority from time to time, as per rules.
