Dibrugarh University, Assam has released an official notification for the recruitment of 07 Teaching posts under a Special Recruitment Drive (SRD) for reserved category vacancies. Interested candidates may apply offline from 08 January 2026 to 23 January 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: Required qualifications will follow the standards prescribed by UGC norms.

Subject Specialization (Post-wise)

Candidates must have specialization in any of the following:

Assamese/Bengali/Hindi/Odia/Sanskrit/English (M.A.). Note: Applicants who have not completed M.A. in Assamese must have working proficiency in Assamese.
M.A. in Assamese
Petroleum Geology & Oil Field Development
Financial Economics/Industrial Economics
Ancient History (Ancient Period)
Ore Geology/Economic Geology
Desirable: Candidates with research publications or research experience in Comparative Indian Literature will be given preference.

Salary Structure

Assistant Professor	57,700 – 1,82,400

How to Apply?

Candidates must submit their application in the University’s prescribed format, along with all necessary enclosures.

Applications should meet the eligibility requirements as per UGC Regulations on minimum qualifications for teachers and academic staff (including amendments valid on the closing date).

The completed application form must reach the concerned office on or before 23/01/2026.

An application fee of ₹2,000 must be paid via Bank Draft in favour of: Registrar, Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh, Assam (Payable at Punjab National Bank, Dibrugarh University Branch, Code: 994000).
