Medical and Health Recruitment Board (MHRB), Assam has released an official employment notification for the recruitment of Registrar, Demonstrator, Resident Physician, and other faculty positions in various Government Medical Colleges and Hospitals under the Medical Education & Research Department, Government of Assam. Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit
- A candidate should not be less than 21 years and not more than 45 years of age.
- Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates, irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General categories.
- Broad Speciality: Candidates must possess a Post Graduate qualification MD/MS/DNB/MDS in the concerned subject from an institute recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) / National Board of Education (NBE)/Dental Council of India.
- Anatomy, Biochemistry & Physiology: Post Graduate qualification MD/MS in the concerned subject, or an MSc (Medical) in the respective subject with a PhD in Medical Anatomy/ Biochemistry/Physiology as per NMC guidelines.
- Super Specialty: MD/DNB in General Medicine for Medical Super Specialties, and MS/DNB in General Surgery for Surgical Super Specialties. Candidates having DM/M.Ch./DNB in the concerned super specialty subject will be given preference/weightage.
- Registration: Candidates must have a valid registration under the Assam Council of Medical Registration or Medical Council of India/National Medical Commission.

Application Fees
- General: Rs. 250/-
- OBC/MOBC/SC/ST (P)/ST (H): Rs. 150/-
- PWD Candidates: No Application Fee.
- Payment Method: The application fee should be deposited through Treasury Challan in the Head of Account "0210-Medical and Public Health-01-Urban Health Services-800-Other Receipt". Alternatively, it can be paid online via the Government Receipt Accounting System-GRAS portal. A printed copy of the challan must be submitted during document verification.

Eligible and interested candidates can follow the steps below to apply online:
- Visit the official portal: nhm.assam.gov.in.
- Go to Recruitment -> click on National Health Mission, Assam New.
- Log in using your mobile number and password (or register if you are a new user).
- Fill up the application form carefully for the designated post.
- Verify all the details and submit the application form. (No changes can be made after final submission).
Important Note: Candidates do not need to upload testimonials/certificates at the time of online application submission. However, original documents, Treasury Challan, and self-attested photocopies must be produced at the time of the interview.
