Manipur University Recruitment Details
1. Consultant
- No. of post: 01 (One)
- Essential: Eminent retired professional in Environmental Science/Botany/Bioenergy with evidence of successfully implemented and coordinated projects under his/her supervision.
- Desirable: Experience as Advisor/Expert Member/Consultant to scientific bodies of the Government of India or foreign agencies, with interest to work in Manipur and provide advisory services to the project team.
- Salary: As per the norms of MoEFCC, Government of India.
2. Research Associate II
- No. of post: 01 (One)
- Essential: First Class in UG and PG in Botany/Environmental Science with Ph.D. as per UGC norms and at least 2 years of independent postdoctoral research sponsored by government bodies such as DBT, DST, CSIR etc.
- Desirable: Evidence of registered patents, publications in SCI journals, report compilation, and experience in biomass conversion, composting, and water quality analysis.
- Salary: As per the norms of MoEFCC, Government of India.
3. Research Associate-I
- No. of post: 01 (One)
- Essential: Postgraduate degree in Botany/Environmental Science with Ph.D. as per UGC norms and research experience in the relevant project area.
- Desirable: Evidence of registered or applied patents, publications in SCI journals, especially related to Loktak Lake ecosystem. Experience in biomass conversion, pyrolysis, and application of vinegar and biochar as pesticide or fertilizer.
- Salary: As per the norms of MoEFCC, Government of India.
4. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
- No. of posts: 02 (Two)
- Essential: Postgraduate degree in Soil Science (Agriculture)/Forestry as per UGC/ICAR norms with NET/SET/GATE qualification.
- Desirable: Practical knowledge of plant and soil analysis, applications of vinegar and biochar as pesticide or fertilizer, and wood preservation using organic and inorganic pesticides.
- Salary: As per the norms of MoEFCC, Government of India.
5. Field cum Lab Assistant
- No. of post: 01 (One)
- Essential: Graduate in any discipline with knowledge of plant and soil handling.
- Desirable: Science background with experience in field and laboratory-based sponsored projects.
