Eligibility Criteria for CAU Recruitment 2026

1. Deputy Registrar (Academic)

Essential:

i. Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade (CGPA/UGC point scale) from recognized University/Institute.

ii. Nine years' experience as Assistant Professor in Academic Level-10 or above with 3 years administrative experience, OR Comparable experience in a research establishment/other higher education institutions, OR 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or equivalent post.

Desirable:

Experience in Establishment/Examinations/Finance
Proficiency in Computer

2. Assistant Engineer (Civil)

Essential:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from recognized University/Institute.
5 years experience as Junior Engineer (Civil) or equivalent at Level-6 in Govt./Autonomous Bodies.

3. Medical Officer

Essential:

MBBS degree from an Institution recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI)
Registration in Indian Medical Register/NMC

Desirable: Experience in Health Care System Management including digital health care delivery

4. Student Welfare Officer

Essential:

Master’s Degree with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade).
5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD as per Govt. of India norms.

Desirable: Experience in handling:

Student counselling & grievance redressal
Discipline & campus welfare matters
Scholarships/Fellowships & student support schemes
Youth, cultural, sports and extension activities

5. Sports Officer

Essential:

i. Master’s Degree in Physical Education or Sports Science with at least 60% marks.

ii. Record of representing University/College in inter-university/inter-collegiate or State/National championship.

iii. Qualified in National Level Test conducted by UGC/approved agency and passed Physical Fitness Test.

6. Junior Engineer (Electrical)

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from recognized University/Institute.

Desirable: At least 55% marks or equivalent in BE (Electrical)

7. Computer Operator

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Applications/IT/Computer Science.

Desirable: 1 year post-degree experience in relevant field in an organization of repute

8. Personal Assistant (PA)

Essential:

(i) Bachelor's Degree OR 2 years Diploma in Secretarial Practices after 10+2

(ii) Shorthand speed: 100 w.p.m (English)

(iii) Typing speed: 40 w.p.m (English)

9. Compounder/Dresser

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy

Desirable: Experience in Hospital/Health Care System.

10. Assistant

Essential:

(i) Bachelor's Degree

(ii) 5 years experience as Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Upper Division Clerk (UDC)

Desirable:

Knowledge of English & Hindi
Hindi/English typing: 30/40 w.p.m

11. Accounts Assistant

Essential:

(i) Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/Economics

(ii) 5 years experience as LDC/UDC

Desirable:

(i) Knowledge of English & Hindi

(ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications

12. Field-cum-Laboratory Assistant

Essential: Bachelor's Degree in Science/Agriculture/Allied Sciences relevant to agriculture.

Desirable: Experience in public/private sector farm

13. Upper Division Clerk (UDC)

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree

Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications

14. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)

Essential:

(i) XII Passed (10+2)

(ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications

(iii) Typing speed: 30 w.p.m (Hindi)/35 w.p.m (English) on computer (Equivalent to 10500 KDPH on average 5 key strokes per word).

15. Driver

Essential:

(i) Passed Class 10

(ii) 3 years driving experience after obtaining license

Desirable:

Experience in driving heavy vehicles
