The Spices Board of India has officially released notification No. 32/2025 for the recruitment of Research Assistants on a contractual basis. These positions are specifically for the Indian Cardamom Research Institute (ICRI-RRS) located in Tadong, Gangtok, Sikkim.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold an M.Sc. with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 GPA.

Crop Improvement Division: M.Sc. in Agriculture, Botany, or Zoology.
Pathology Division: M.Sc. in Agriculture, Microbiology, or Zoology.
Post-Harvest Technology Division: M.Sc. in Post-Harvest Technology, Agricultural Engineering (Specialization in Processing), Food Technology, Food Science, or Horticulture (with relevant experience).

Essential Experience: Minimum two years of relevant research experience.

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as of the interview date.

Selection Process

Written Test: Candidates will first undergo a screening written test.

Document Verification: Only those who meet the strict eligibility and experience criteria will proceed.

Interview: Final selection is based on the test performance and board's discretion.
