Gauhati Medical College (GMC) has released an employment notification for the recruitment of 07 posts of Project Research Scientist-II and Project Technical Support-III under the PM-ABHIM scheme, Government of India, in the Department of Microbiology, Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati. 1. Post Name: Project Research Scientist-II (Medical)

  • No. of post: 01 (One)
  • Essential: MBBS/BVSc/BDS with 3 years’ experience or with MPH/PhD or with Postgraduate Degree (including integrated PG).
  • Desirable: MD/M.VSc./MDS or PhD preferred, with 3+ years R&D experience in Microbiology, molecular techniques, computer skills, and research publications.
  • Salary: Rs.80,000 + 20% HRA per month.
  • Age: Upper age limit 40 years as on 01.06.2025.
2. Post Name: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)

  • No. of posts: 03 (Three)
  • Essential: First class PG degree or second-class PG degree with PhD in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Desirable: Minimum 2 years’ R&D experience in Microbiology/Biotech lab, with computer skills and research publications in indexed journals.
  • Salary: Rs.56,000 + 20% HRA per month.
  • Age: Upper age limit 35 years as on 01.06.2025.
3. Post Name: Project Technical Support-III

  • No. of posts: 03 (Three)
  • Essential: Three-year graduate in Microbiology/Biotech/MLT with 3 years’ experience or postgraduate degree in the same fields.
  • Desirable: Postgraduate in Microbiology/Biotech/MLT preferred, with 3 years’ Microbiology lab experience and computer knowledge.
  • Salary: Rs.28,000 + 20% HRA per month.
  • Age: Upper age limit 35 years as on 01.06.2025.
