The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct a competitive examination for the recruitment to Group ‘C’ posts, namely Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO), in various Ministries/Departments/Offices of the Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/Statutory Bodies/Tribunals, etc.

1. Lower Division Clerk (LDC)/Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA)
Salary: Pay Level-2 (Rs.19,900-63,200)

2. Data Entry Operator (DEO)
Salary: Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100) and Level-5 (Rs. 29,200-92,300)

3. Data Entry Operator (DEO), Grade ‘A’
Salary: Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100)

SSC CHSL 2025 – Complete Details

Qualification: 

  • For DEO in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Culture, SSC: Must have passed 12th with Science & Mathematics.
  • For LDC, JSA, DEO (other posts): Must have passed 12th or equivalent from a recognized board.
  • Appearing Candidates: Can apply if they pass before 01-01-2026.
  • Distance Education: Degrees must be approved by UGC’s Distance Education Bureau.
  • Engineering via IGNOU: B.Tech. (up to 2009–10 session only) is valid as per Supreme Court.
  • Document Verification: Must provide original mark sheets/proof showing you passed before cut-off date.
  • Equivalent Qualification: Must have Equivalence Certificate during verification.
