National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS), Gangtok, has released the latest employment notification for the recruitment of 05 posts of RA-III, Junior Project Fellow (JPF), and Field Assistant. All relevant details regarding NMHS Recruitment 2026 are provided below.
NMHS Gangtok Recruitment Details
1. RA-III
- No. of post: 01 (One)
- Salary: Rs.67,000/- + 10% HRA.
- Age: 45 years.
2. Junior Project Fellow (JPF)
- No. of posts: 02 (Two)
- Salary: Rs. 24,000/- + 10% HRA.
- Age: 28 years.
3. Field Assistant
- No. of posts: 02 (Two)
- Salary: Rs.20,000/- + 10% HRA.
- Age: 50 years.
Eligibility Criteria for NMHS Gangtok
1. RA-III
Essential:
- Ph.D. in Plant Taxonomy.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with flora in the Sikkim Alpine region (identification and documentation), with evidence through publications.
- At least 3 publications in SCI journals.
Desirable: Minimum 10 years of field experience working with the flora of the Sikkim Himalaya, with evidence through publications.
2. Junior Project Fellow (JPF)
Essential: M.Sc. in Botany (Plant Taxonomy/Ecology).
Desirable: Experience in field data collection related to Plant Taxonomy or Ecology.
3. Field Assistant
Essential: B.Sc. in Botany/Life Sciences.
Desirable: Experience in fieldwork in the Sikkim Himalaya. Knowledge of plant collection, herbarium preparation, and data compilation.
