South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has announced a new employment notification for the recruitment of 1,600 seats of Graduate and Technician Apprentices for training in FY 2026–27 in opencast and underground mines. Candidates can check the complete details of SECL Recruitment 2026 below.

Eligibility Criteria for SECL Recruitment

1. Qualification:

• Candidates must hold a 3 or 4-year Degree in Engineering or General Stream for Graduate Apprentices.
• Candidates must hold a 3-year Diploma in the relevant Engineering branch for Technician Apprentices.
• Diploma can be 3 years after Class 10 or 2 years after Class 12 (lateral entry). (1-year diploma not allowed)
• Only candidates with regular (full-time) education are eligible.

2. Age limit: Candidate should have completed 18 years as on 31.03.2026.

3. Stipend Details

• Graduate Apprentices: ₹12,300 per month.
• Technician Apprentices: ₹10,900 per month.

Stipend will be shared as:

• 50% by SECL
• 50% by Government (via DBT in Aadhaar-linked bank account)
• Government share will be paid as per existing rates until further updates from the Board of Apprenticeship Training.

4. Selection Criteria

• Selection will be based on the date of passing of Degree/Diploma.
• Earlier pass-out candidates will be given higher preference.
• If the result date is not mentioned, candidates must provide a certificate from the institute.

In case of a tie, selection will be based on:

• Percentage of marks in Degree/Diploma
• Percentage in 12th/10th
• Date of Birth

Two merit lists will be prepared:

• Level-1: Candidates from Chhattisgarh & Madhya Pradesh
• Level-2: Candidates from other states

Level-2 candidates will be considered after Level-1 is exhausted.

The provisional selection list will be released on the SECL website (April 2026, 2nd week).
