Other Details of IOCL Refinery
1. Selection Process
- No written test will be conducted.
- Selection will be based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (merit basis).
- Preference will be given to candidates applying for apprenticeship for the first time.
- In case of a tie in marks, older candidate (DOB) will be preferred.
- If the date of birth is also the same, higher Matriculation marks will be considered.
- PwBD candidates will be considered under reserved category as per rules.
- Final selection depends on document verification and management discretion.
2. Apprenticeship Benefits & Rules
- Stipend: Paid as per Apprentices Act and Corporation guidelines.
- Safety Equipment: Selected apprentices will get safety shoes and helmet (returnable).
- Accommodation: No HRA or company accommodation provided.
- Leave: 32 days general leave + 12 days casual leave per year (pro-rata).
- Holidays: As per establishment rules.
- Insurance: Covered under accident insurance policy.
- Discipline: Apprentices will follow company standing orders.
- Training Period: May be extended as per Apprentices Rules 1992.
- Management Decision: Final and binding on all selection matters.
