Recruitment Rally Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Under Headquarter Territorial Army Group. Eastern Command is conducting recruitment rally at Jalapahar Ground, Jalapahar, Cantt, Darjeeling (W.B.) on the following dates.

Vacancies:-

1. Name of post: Soldier (General Duty)

Minimum Qualification: Class X Passed with 45% with a minimum of 33% marks in each subject. However, not a stipulation of % in the case of Class XII pass.

2. Name of post: Soldier (Clerk)

Minimum Qualification: Class XII Passed and above only. Should have secure 50% marks in each subject and 60% marks in aggregate in Class XII. Should have studied English and Math’s/Accounts/Book Keeping in Class X or XII. Even if a candidate is a graduate or has a higher qualification, percentage marks scored in Class XII would be applicable towards his eligibility.

3. Name of post: Solder (Tradesmen)

Minimum Qualification: Class X passed.

Eligibility Criteria:

(a) Height: 152 cm for all Gorkha, Assamese, and Garhwalis. 155 cm for all Adivasis and 160 cm for the rest of the candidates.

(b) Weight: Minimum 50 Kgs.

(c) Chest: Minimum 77 cms and expansion of 05 cms but in case of Adivasis chest expansion not required.

(d) Age: Between 18 to 42 years. (Proof showing candidate are not born after 14 October 2001)

Physical Fitness Test:

(a) 1.6 Km Run

(b) 8 Pull Ups Beam

(c) 9 feet ditch

(d) 9 meter balance walk

Tattoo: Tattoos made anywhere on the body are not permitted.

Relaxation in Physical Stds.

Status: Son of Servicemen/Ex-servicemen/War Window & Adopted son/son-in-law of war widow, if she has no son.

(c) Caste/Tribe certificate issued by DC/ADC/SDM.

(d) Four latest passport size photographs without attestation.

(e) Latest character certificate issued by School Principal/Headmaster/Police Station (Not more than six months old).

(f) Pan Card & Aadhaar Card.

(g) Mark Sheets for 10^th/12^th (as applicable).

(h) Married/unmarried cert from SDM/SDO/Tehsildar.

(i) Relationship certificate (in case applicable)

Note:

(a) All candidates who pass the physical tests will undergo a medical examination. Medically fit candidates will have to subsequently pass a written exam. The details of the written exam will be explained to shortlisted candidates separately.
