Eligibility: The
candidate must be an advocate of Diphu Bar Associate practicing continuously
not less than 5 (five) years. He/She must bear a good moral character and there
must not have any civil or criminal case in any judicial court or any
disciplinary processing in the Bar Council pending against him/her.
Nature
of work & Remuneration: The duty of the
Advocate-Commissioner will be recording evidence in civil suits and proceedings
as referred by the Presiding Officer of the Civil Court. An
Advocate-Commissioner shall be entitled to a fee of Rs.300/- (Rs. Three
Hundred) per witness. In case the cross-examination of a witness could not be
completed in one day and continues beyond the day, Commissioner’s fee shall be
Rs.200/- (Rs. Two Hundred) per day for such a witness.
Selection
Procedure: A Selection Committee headed by the
undersigned has been constituted for the appointment of Advocate-Commissioners and
the eligible advocates
have to appear a VIVA-VOCE before this Committee on 10/12/2019 at 3.00 PM
in the chamber of the District & Sessions Judge, Karbi Anglong.

Apply
Intending
advocates may submit their applications addressed to the undersigned through
the President/Secretary, Diphu Bar Association on or before 07/12/2019.
The applications must be accompanied by BIO-DATA/RESUME of the candidates and
a Self-Declaration that there is no civil or criminal case in any judicial court
and any disciplinary proceeding in the Bar Council pending against them.
