The Office of the District Commissioner (DC), Jorhat has released a job advertisement on its official website jorhat.assam.gov.in for the recruitment of 20 Gaon Pradhan posts under the East Jorhat, West Jorhat, Teok, and Mariani Revenue Circles. Interested and eligible candidates may apply offline from 4th June 2025 to 16th June 2025.

Salary: Rs.9,000/- per month.
Eligibility Criteria for Gaon Pradhan Posts
Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 30 years old and not more than 65 years of age as on 1st January 2025.
Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of the area for which the appointment is sought.
Property Ownership: The candidate must have land or immovable property in his/her name within the area of proposed appointment as Gaon Pradhan.
Number of Children: The candidate must not have more than two living children, whether from a single or multiple partners. A self-affidavit must be submitted to this effect.
Employment Status: The candidate must not be a government employee.
Political Affiliation: The candidate must not be a member of any political party.
Educational Qualification: The candidate must have passed at least the 10th standard (matriculation) from a recognized board or institution.
Physical and Mental Fitness: The candidate must be physically fit and of sound mind.
Financial Standing: The candidate must not have been declared as an insolvent or a defaulter in the payment of government dues.
Social Reputation: The candidate must be a person of high social standing, command respect, and hold a reputable position in society.
How to Apply for DC Jorhat Recruitment 2025
Candidates must submit their applications in the prescribed form within the stipulated date. The filled-in application should be submitted to the Office of the District Commissioner, Jorhat.
The application must be accompanied by the following documents:
➨Self-attested copy of PAN Card
➨Self-attested copy of Voter ID Card
➨Three recent passport-sized photographs
➨Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)
➨Copies of all educational certificates, mark sheets, and HSLC admit card or age proof certificate
➨Government dues clearance certificate and Bakijai clearance certificate
➨Documents proving ownership of land or immovable property in the applicant’s name
➨A self-affidavit declaring that the applicant does not have more than two living children, from a single or multiple partners
