Eligibility Criteria

1. Member: 

  • Qualification: Candidates who have completed their graduation in regular mode from a UGC recognized institution. Any applicant who has completed bachelor’s degree through distant mode of learning will not be considered eligible to apply for the posts.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience in relevant fields such as consumer affairs, law, administration, economics, management, engineering, technology, public health, or medicine, supported by valid documentary proof (experience certificates, employer certificates, Bar Council registration for law candidates, or self-employment proof, as applicable).
2. District Museum Officer

  • Qualification: M.A. in Museology from a recognized University. 
  • Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with at least one month of internship or curatorial experience in a museum under the Central or any State Government, or a Postgraduate degree in History (Ancient)/Anthropology/Archaeology/Sanskrit from a recognized university. Additional preference will be given to candidates holding a one-year PG Diploma in Museology from a recognized institute.
3. AFS Junior Grade-II

  • Eligibility: Graduate officers below 50 years (as on 01-01-2025) with minimum 5 years of continuous service in Assam Accounts Service/Assam Local Fund Audit Service/Assam Treasury Establishment are eligible to appear in the examination.
  • Qualification: Candidate must be a Graduate from a recognized university.

Age Limit for APSC Recruitment 


1. Member

a. Member, Assam State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (Non-Judicial): Candidates must be not less than 40 years of age as on 01-01-2025.
b. Member, District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission: Candidates must be not less than 35 years of age as on 01-01-2025.

2. District Museum Officer (DMO)

Candidates must be between 21 and 38 years of age as on 01-01-2025. The upper age limit is relaxable as follows:

  • SC/ST: 5 years (up to 43 years)
  • OBC/MOBC: 3 years (up to 41 years)
  • Ex-Servicemen: Maximum 50 years for UR category, further relaxable by 3 years for OBC/MOBC & 5 years for SC/ST.
  • Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years irrespective of category, as per Government norms.

Scheme of Exam for APSC Recruitment
