Office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), West Khasi Hills District (WKHD), Nongstoin, Government of Meghalaya, Addendum Notification No. ND/DSC/761/2017/Pt.IV/65 dated 07.05.2025, in partial modification of Office Advertisement No. ND/DSC/761/2017/Pt.IV/43 dated 28.03.2025, and due to technical issues faced by applicants while making online payments, the submission deadline for online applications is hereby extended up to 5:00 PM on 9th June 2025.

DSC WKHD Job Opening 2025

The Deputy Commissioner-Cum-Chairman, District Selection Committee (DSC), West Khasi Hills District (WKHD), Nongstoin, has released a recruitment notification for 42 posts of Lower Division Assistant (LDA) and Driver vacancies. Eligible and interested candidates may apply online from 07 May 2025 to 09 June 2025.

DSC WKHD Recruitment Details

1. Lower Division Clerk (LDC) 
  • Posts: 29 (Twenty-nine)
  • Qualification: Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or an equivalent examination is required, along with a typing certificate. Candidates must have a minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute to be eligible for the Lower Division Assistant (LDA) post. Preference will be given to candidates with a certificate in computer applications.
  • Monthly: Level-5.
  • Age limit: Age 18-32 years as of 01.01.2025; 5-year relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
2. Driver
  • Posts: 13 (Thirteen)
  • Qualification: Class VIII passed. Must possess a valid driving license for light, medium, or heavy motor vehicles. Should have a basic knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • Monthly: Level-3.
  • Age: 18-32 years as of 01.01.2025; 5-year relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Application Fee

Applicants may pay a fee of Rs.100 (Rs.50 for SC/ST) via Internet Banking or Debit/ATM Card. PWD candidates are exempt with a valid Disability Certificate. Fees are non-refundable. Candidates should carefully follow payment instructions.

Age Limit

Eligibility Criteria

1. LDA: SSLC passed and Computer Knowledge with typing speed not less than 30 words per minute (to be ascertained through technical).

2. Sectional Assistant: SSLC Passed.

3. Mechanic: SSLC Passed preferably with diploma in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent.

4. Mechanic Grade-I: SSLC Passed with ITI Certificate in Motor Mechanic or 5 years service as Mechanic Grade-II.

5. Mechanic Grade-II: SSLC Passed with Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI Certificate in Motor Mechanic/Automobile repair and Agri. Mechanic light power tiller, tractor bulldozer etc.

6. Driver: VIII Passed. Must possess a valid Driving License for Light or medium/ heavy motor vehicle experience in driving shall be preferred. Must have fair knowledge of repairing defects.

7. Operator: HSSLC Passed. Must hold of valid cinema operator license and should be able to operate/repair cinema equipment, PA equipment and fixed loud speaker system indecently. 

8. Grade-IV: VI Passed.
