Who Can Apply?
- Current Status: You can apply if you have already graduated, hold a postgraduate degree, or are currently in your final year of study.
- Minimum Marks: A minimum of 60% aggregate marks (or an equivalent CGPA) is required in your qualifying degree.
- Final Year Students: Candidates in their last year must ensure they maintain the 60% threshold until the completion of their degree.

- Recognition: The foreign institution must be officially recognized by the Government of India.
- Equivalency: You must obtain and provide an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- Grade Conversion: Your international grades must be equivalent to the Indian 60% aggregate standard.
Selection Procedure
How to Apply?
- Candidates must register and submit applications online through the official Indian Navy portal: www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
- To avoid delays, applicants are advised to fill basic details and upload documents in advance before the application window opens.
- Accurate entry of personal details (as per 10th certificate)
- Proper completion of mandatory fields like email and mobile number
- Mark sheets (up to 5th semester for regular BE/B.Tech, 7th for integrated BE/B.Tech, all semesters for other degrees)
- Proof of Date of Birth (10th & 12th certificates)
- CGPA conversion formula (for BE/B.Tech if applicable)
- Merchant Navy certificate (if applicable)
- NCC “C” Certificate (if applicable)
- Recent passport-size colour photo (original scan)
- Uploaded scans must be clear and readable
- Applications with illegible documents are liable to be rejected.
- Once submitted, the application is final and cannot be modified
- Applicants must print a copy of the application and carry it to the SSB interview
- Read all instructions on the website carefully before final submission.
- If any declaration is found false, candidature will be cancelled at any stage.
- Drug/narcotic usage is strictly banned. Candidates may be tested during SSB, medical, training, or service. Those found using/possessing drugs will be disqualified or discharged.
