Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat has released an official notification for the recruitment of 33 vacancies in various Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) across Assam. Eligible candidates can apply online from 27 July to 26 August 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- Senior Scientist & Head: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with at least 8 years of teaching/research/extension experience.
- Subject Matter Specialist (SMS): Master's Degree in the relevant Agriculture, Animal Science or Fisheries discipline.
- Farm Manager & Programme Assistant: Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Animal Science, Computer Science or related field (post-wise).
- Assistant: Graduate in any discipline with experience in Accounts and Establishment work.
- Stenographer: Graduate with DCA certificate and shorthand/typing proficiency.
- Driver: HSLC pass with valid LMV/HMV Driving Licence and driving experience.
- Supporting Staff: Class 10th Pass or ITI.
- Age Limit: Maximum 38 to 47 years depending on the post. Age relaxation is applicable as per Assam Government rules.

Selection Process
- Shortlisting of eligible candidates.
- Written Test/Skill Test (where applicable).
- Interview for higher-level posts.
- Document Verification.
Important Points
- Most posts are open only to Permanent Residents of Assam (PRC required).
- The PRC condition is not applicable for the Senior Scientist & Head post.
- In-service AAU employees can apply through the proper channel with NOC.
