Honorarium: As fixed by the Assam State Legal Services Authority (ASLSA) under the prevailing rules.
Eligibility Criteria for DLSA Dima Hasao
Nationality: The applicant must be a citizen of India and should belong to any one of the following groups:- Teachers, including retired teachers
- Retired Government servants and senior citizens
- Students and teachers of Master of Social Work
- Anganwadi workers
- Doctors/Physicians
- Students and law students (until they enroll as lawyers)
- Members of non-political, service-oriented NGOs and clubs
- Members of Women Neighborhood Groups, Maithri Sangrams and other Self-Help Groups, including marginalized/vulnerable groups
- Social workers
- Persons from a defence background (Ex-servicemen)
Skills & Suitability: Applicants should have overall comprehension and a mindset to assist needy people in society, with compassion, empathy and concern for marginalized and weaker sections.
Preference: Preference will be given to candidates having basic computer skills, driving skills or other relevant skills.
Selection Process
1. The Selection Committee will decide the number of candidates to be shortlisted for the interview and the selection of Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs).
2. The selection will be made as per the relevant scheme.
3. The decision of the Selection Committee regarding shortlisting and selection will be final.
4. Selected PLVs will be required to undergo a training programme as decided by the District Legal Services Authority, Dima Hasao.
