Salary, Scale of Pay & Benefits

Selected candidates will receive competitive pay packages under IDA pattern with standard central PSU perks:

  • Grade S-5 (Foreman & Jr. Superintendent): ₹28,500 – ₹86,570/- .
  • Grade S-3 (Operator & Technician): ₹25,000 – ₹81,430/-.
  • Grade S-3 (PwBD Trainee Cadres): ₹21,000/-.
  • Allowances & Perquisites: In addition to basic pay, employees receive Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA), cafeteria perquisites @ 35% of basic pay, special North-East Allowance @ 10% of basic pay, House Rent Allowance (HRA), conveyance reimbursement, medical coverage, Defined Contribution Pension Scheme (DCPS), and Post-Retirement Medical benefits.

Age Limit & Relaxations

The upper age limit is calculated as on 09 October 2026. Standard relaxations apply:

  • SC/ST: Relaxable by 5 years (applicable against reserved posts).
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Relaxable by 3 years (applicable against reserved posts).
  • PwBD Candidates: 10 years for General/EWS, 13 years for OBC (NCL), and 15 years for SC/ST.
  • Maximum Age Ceiling: In all circumstances, the upper age limit shall not exceed 56 years inclusive of all relaxations.
