Educational Qualification:
- Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from a recognized University.
- Ph.D Degree in concerned/allied/relevant discipline(s) in the institutions concerned with evidence of published work and research guidance.
- Associate Professor/Professor with a total experience of 15 years of teaching/research/administration in Universities/Colleges and other institutions of Higher Education.
- Minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal in Appendix-III for direct recruitment of Professors in Colleges.
- Relaxation of 5% will be applicable at the Graduate and Master’s degree level for the candidates belonging SC/ST/Differently abled categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing academic record. The eligibility marks of 55% marks or equivalent (in a point scale wherever grading system as followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedure.
- Minimum 10 research publication in peer reviewed or UGC listed journal.
- Minimum 110 Research Score as per Appendix-II at Table-2.
Scale of Pay: Rs. 1,44,200/- to Rs. 2,18,000/- plus Grade Pay of Rs.10,000/- plus other allowances as admissible under Rules of The Govt. of Assam.
Age: The upper age limit up to 55 years of age as on 01-01-2021
Application Fee for Higher Educational Department Assam
#As per Govt. Notification No. FEG.32/2016/8-A dated Dispur the 28th October, 2016 communicated vide letter No. ABP.60/2014/11 dated 2nd February 2018 the Application Fees for all post under the State Govt. of Assam shown as below:
1. For General: Rs.250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty) only.
2. For SC/ST/OBC/MOBC: Rs.150/- (Rupees one hundred and fifty) only.
#Fees should be deposited through Treasury Challan in the Head of Account “NON TAX REVENUE, OTHER NON TAX REVENUE 0051 PSC, 105 STATE PSC APPLICATION FEE RECEIPT OF APSC” showing name of post and department. Original copy of Treasury Challan should be submitted along with the application form.

How to Apply for Higher Educational Department Assam
The name of the post applied for should be clearly written in “bold letters” in the Envelope containing the application form and it should be addressed to the Deputy Secretary, APSC, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-781022. The last date of receiving duly filled up application form in the Commission’s office is fixed on 03/12/2021 during office hours.
