Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has officially released a centralized recruitment notification for the engagement of 6777 Act Apprentices for the training years 2025-2026 & 2026-2027. Eligible ITI passed candidates and 12th Science graduates can apply online before the designated deadline.

Job Highlights

NFR is recruiting 6777 Act Apprentices across various railway divisions and workshops. Selection is based completely on Academic Merit (No Exam, No Interview). Course-completed apprentices get a 20% preference quota in permanent Level-1 (Group D) Railway jobs. The last date to apply online is 19th August 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
  • For General ITI Trades: Passed Class 10 (Matriculation) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board, along with an ITI certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade.
  • For Medical Lab Technicians (Pathology & Radiology): Passed Class 12 (10+2 system) in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) securing minimum 50% marks in both Class 10 and 12.
  • Marks Exemption: The minimum 50% marks criteria in Class 10 is not mandatory for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates.
  • Age Limit: 15 to 24 years as on 19-08-2026. Upper age relaxation is available up to +5 years for SC/ST, +3 years for OBC, and +10 years for PwBD.

Selection Process & Stipend
💥Selection Method: Merit list will be prepared based on the average percentage of marks obtained in Class 10 + ITI (or Class 12 for MLT posts). No test or interview will be conducted. Shortlisted candidates (1.5 times the slots) will be called for Document Verification.

💰 Stipend Rates: Minimum baseline stipend for NTC/STC holders starts from Rs. 9,600/- per month (with regular yearly increments of 10% to 15% for multi-year training frameworks). No hostel accommodation will be provided.

General/OBC/EWS: Rs. 100/- (Non-refundable)
SC/ST/PwBD/Women/EBC: NIL (Fully Exempted)

  • Register on the website to generate your unique Login credentials.
  • Fill up your basic details, choose your choice of Units-Trades in order of preference, and upload scanned copies of your marksheet, certificate, photo, and signature.
  • Pay the fee online (if applicable) and complete your final submission before 19th August 2026 (17:30 hrs).
