Post-Wise Eligibility Criteria
1. Field Engineer – Electrical (Post ID: 563)
- Qualification: Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engg.) in Electrical or related discipline with 55% marks.
- Eligible Disciplines: Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Power Systems Engineering and related fields.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in power sector projects such as transmission lines, substations, rural electrification or related works.
- Age Limit: Maximum 29 years as on 05 September 2026.
2. Field Engineer – Civil (Post ID: 564)
- Qualification: Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engg.) in Civil Engineering with 55% marks.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience in power sector projects, including construction, engineering, testing & commissioning, transmission lines or substations.
- Age Limit: Maximum 29 years as on 05 September 2026.
- Preference: Experience in a PSU or listed power-sector company is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Basic Pay: ₹30,000/- per month with Industrial DA, HRA and other benefits.
- Annual Increment: 3% increment after successful completion of each year.
- Retention Bonus: Payable every six months, depending on the posting location.

Age Limit & Relaxation

Selection Process
- Personal Interview: Selection will be based mainly on performance in the Personal Interview.
- Screening Test: POWERGRID may conduct a 1-hour Screening Test with 75 MCQs (50 Technical + 25 Aptitude) for shortlisting, if required.
- No Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking in the Screening Test.
- Qualifying Marks: 40% for UR/EWS candidates and 30% for reserved category candidates.
- Final Selection: The final merit will be prepared based on Personal Interview performance, subject to document and medical verification.
- Interview Medium: Candidates can attend the interview in English or Hindi.
