Office of the Directorate of Town & Country Planning (TCP), Assam, has released the latest employment notification for the recruitment of 08 posts of Specialist Architects, Sr. GIS Expert and GIS Assistants on contractual basis under the Department of Housing and Urban Affairs. All relevant details regarding TCP Assam Recruitment 2026 are provided below.
TCP Assam Recruitment Details
1. Specialist Architects
- No. of posts: 02 (Two)
- Salary: Rs.1,20,000/-.
- Age limit: Not more than 40 years.
2. Sr. GIS Expert
- No. of posts: 02 (Two)
- Salary: Rs.1,00,000/-.
- Age limit: Not more than 38 years.
3. GIS Assistants
- No. of posts: 04 (Four)
- Salary: Rs. 75,000/-.
- Age limit: Not more than 35 years.
Eligibility Criteria for TCP Assam
1. Specialist Architects
Qualification: Bachelor’s in Architecture with Master’s in Urban Design/Landscape Architecture/Architecture or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 12 years relevant experience in construction drawings, building byelaws, commercial/high-rise buildings, urban design, parks, landscaping, and junction design.
Preferred:
- Experience in urban parks, blue-green infrastructure, affordable housing, street/junction design.
- Experience as Project Lead/Team Leader in at least 2 city projects.
- Knowledge of Assam urban policies (Building Byelaws, TDR, TPS, LAP, ToD).
2. GIS Expert
Qualification: M.Sc/M.Tech/MA in GIS/Geography/Remote Sensing/Geoinformatics/Geomatics OR B.Plan/M.Plan with GIS & Remote Sensing.
Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in GIS spatial analysis.
Preferred Skills:
- GIS work related to urban planning projects.
- Knowledge of drone data processing and geospatial data development.
- Experience with GIS portals/websites/apps and DGPS data handling.
3. GIS Assistant
Qualification: M.Sc/M.Tech/MA in Remote Sensing & GIS/Geoinformatics/Geomatics/Geography OR B.Plan/M.Plan with GIS & Remote Sensing.
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in GIS spatial analysis.
Skills:
- Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, Global Mapper, AutoCAD.
- Experience in urban planning / drainage master plan projects.
- Field data collection and DGPS data processing preferred.
