The Health & Family Welfare Department (HFWD), Government of Tripura, has released a job advertisement on its official website health.tripura.gov.in for the recruitment of 100 Nursing Officer posts on a purely contractual basis. Interested and eligible candidates may apply online from 06th June 2025 to 21st June 2025.

Post Name: Nursing Officer
No. of posts: 100 [SC-17, ST-31 & UR-52]
Qualification: (a) Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) OR B.Sc. Nursing OR Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing. (b) Having registration under Tripura Nursing Council as Registered Nurse & Registered Midwife (RNRM).
Desirable: Knowledge in Bengali or Kokborok.
Salary: Rs.34,700/- per month.
Age limit: Minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 40 years (upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/PwD candidates) as on the date of issue of this notification.
Other information
The candidates, who are having PRTC, Certificate of Registration of Tripura Nursing Council (RNRM), Employment Exchange Card and requisite qualification as mentioned above, are eligible to apply for engagement.
The engagement is purely contract basis for a period of 11 (eleven) months and will not confer any right for permanent employment or extension of contact period.
The engagement is liable to be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof with 1 (one) month’s notice from either side. The department, however, reserves the right to terminate the contractual engagement forthwith or before the expiration of the stipulated period of notice.
The engagement carries the liability to serve at any part of the State of Tripura.
The relevant rules and orders in force from time to time will govern the other condition of engagement.

Total Selection Criteria:
- 50% from API Score
- 50% from Interview/Viva Voce
Shortlisting for Interview: Top API-scoring candidates will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:3 (i.e., 3 candidates per 1 vacancy).
A. API (Academic Performance Index) – Maximum 50 Marks
1. Madhyamik (Class 10):
- 70% and above → 10 marks
- 60% to < 70% → 7 marks
- 50% to < 60% → 4 marks
- Maximum: 10 Marks
2. H.S. (Higher Secondary/+2 stage):
- 70% and above → 10 marks
- 60% to < 70% → 7 marks
- 50% to < 60% → 4 marks
- Maximum: 10 Marks
3. Last Acquired Nursing Qualification
(Diploma in GNM/B.Sc. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing):
- 70% and above → 30 marks
- 60% to < 70% → 21 marks
- 50% to < 60% → 12 marks
- Maximum: 30 Marks
Total API Score: 50 Marks
B. Interview/Viva Voce – Maximum 50 Marks
- Speaking & Presentation Skill: 10 marks
- Subject Knowledge: 20 marks
- Dress Code: 10 marks
- General Knowledge & Current Affairs: 10 marks
- Total Interview Score: 50 Marks
